It’s a DSL connection. But I didn’t buy the device, I got it from my internet provider. But yeah, I’m still not happy with it, so I’ll probably just ditch the freebie router and get something good.

You have a seperate internet device with an ethernet cable providing internet? Are you using DSL at home, or is it cabled broadband?

If you’re using cabled broadband then you’ve bought the wrong hardware. Return it. Consider getting a nice Linksys WRT54G instead.
